I am really sorry that I haven't been updating lately. It's, as usual, been pretty hectic.

We went to Wales to Symond's Yat for some kayaking last weekend. I know that it's awful to say, but I have not had more fun the entire year I have been here as I had in the couple of days last weekend! It was absolutely wonderful!! We went down with about 20 members of our kayak group (Battersea Canoe Club). I will be honest – I haven't been on whitewater since I dislocated my shoulder, and it was really, really tough for me to get up the nerve to actually get on the water. But once I was there, I realized 1) I have a lot of work to do to get back in to shape for this stuff and 2) I can do this! They are a great bunch of people, really supportive and helpful in getting me back in the water. It was a bit tough sharing a hostel type of thing, 'cause one guy snored really loud, but otherwise, it was absolutely a blast! I can't wait to go again!!

Then, I was on training 3 weeks ago, and that was really tough. I would get home feeling so fried from trying to get things to work as I expected. Of course, I was trying to make the product do some of the really off-the-wall things that I've seen customers try to do. (It's not that they shouldn't do these things! I just needed to figure out the right way to do them.)

Work, in general, has been really, really, really stressful… Usually, Agata would be around to diffuse things, and we would bitch and just unload on one another but due to our schedules not meshing, I saw her for the first the time in two week today. It seems as though working from home twice a week kind of isolates me from all of my co-workers and teammates. Sometimes, I actually miss being at work and seeing everyone.

Other things… We had another postal strike a couple of weeks back. I am getting a bit tired of folks striking. There are so many made up jobs in this stupid country that they have no right to complain that they aren't getting paid enough. Go get a real job instead of your half a job that is being done by 3 people simultaneously!!! The economy here is going to crash eventually. It's not sustainable. And when that happens, a lot of folks are going to be really bad off.

By the way – one little secret of England and Thai food. Apparently the best way to find good Thai food is to find a pub. Ok, not really. Only a handful of pubs are actually great, but it's just ironic that the best Thai food is in English pubs.

That's it for now, 'cause I am going to bed.

I haven't written a blog in a while, so I figure, while I am sitting here waiting for my FixPack to install, I will do just that.

I am finally feeling a lot better! Yay!

Emma won't have to lose a toe. Again, Yay!

Things are going, all in all, pretty well.

Right now, it's around 7:30PM, and it's full dark out. It's really kinda pretty with all of the lights of London. I keep saying that I need to take pictures, but I just haven't gotten to it. And, it's definitely fall now 'cause it's getting colder and colder.

So, I work with folks of all nationalities. Agata is Polish, and Vincent is French, and we were working with a guy who is another American. That guy was kind of being a jerk to Agata, and I suggested that it might be because of her Polish accent, because he was fine with me. Vincent responds, "Well maybe I should talk to him with my French, I mean Freedom, accent." I couldn't stop laughing at that – I mean choking on my coffee laughing.

Anyway – my fixpack is almost done, so I will talk more later.
